Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating and executing successful projects aligned with corporate strategy delivering them on time, on budget and within scope. The Project Manager will use a sound project management framework based upon the project life cycle to set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and report on progress of project. Oversee the execution and completion of projects that may be systems, technology or process improvement-driven. Create schedules, adjust timelines, communicate changes and oversee quality control throughout the entire project. Deliver projects according to strategic initiatives, attain resources, and manage the team and third-party contractors and/or consultants. In addition, identify, assess and minimize project risks until successful project completion. A strong sense of ownership and accountability to the project and desire to understand our customer is critical to this role.

This role may be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match the needs and role requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Drives the project forward throughout the project management lifecycle.
  • Maintain project documentation, including, but not limited to, system configuration, evaluation score cards, proposal, charter, scope, project plans, training plans, data mapping, system mapping, workflow mapping, communication plan, checklists, risk assessments, authorizations and proposed procedures.
  • Develop, monitor and report on budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
  • Proactively escalate anticipated project delays, budget issues and other potential threats to project.
  • Provide executive summaries of project status to Project Sponsor, Senior Operating Committee, Chief Risk Officer at scheduled intervals and significant milestones.
  • Lead and direct the work of others by assign roles and delegate responsibilities to team members and monitor for completion within set deadlines.
  • Ensure successful project transition and closure responsibilities are completed and accepted by project team.
  • Collaborate with Project Lead to research industry and technology trends, and all third-party options including risk assessments for potential vendors.
  • Organize periodic celebratory events for project teams at significant milestones or closure.
  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
  • Completes all yearly compliance training and testing and complies with bank, federal, and state regulations. Adheres to departmental and bank-wide service standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities: May supervisor staff as needed

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 years Project Management experience involving business or financial analytical experience. Banking, Financial Services and / or related industry preferred. Experience with Information Security and / or IT preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Project Management Certification and / or in the process of obtaining product certification required
