Job Description Summary:The Floor Tech "Waxer" is a position within the line of operations of the company. The incumbent is responsible for performing the day-to-day and periodic cleaning activities in assigned work areas. Duties include routine floor care, cleaning of general offices, restrooms, lobbies and corridors, and exterior areas, as directed, using prescribed procedures. Basic responsibilities may include any combination of the following: emptying waste baskets and ashtrays; dusting, spot cleaning, care of furniture, desk tops, telephones, glass surfaces, upholstered surfaces; basic floor servicing (including buffing, sweeping, and vacuuming), cleaning of fixtures, floors, and walls; and the policing of waste in restrooms. Specific responsibilities for each individual as a waxer will be determined by client expectations, Account Manager/Supervisor discretion, and waxer capabilities and experience.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Damp wipe glass surfaces Empty waste baskets, service soap and toilet paper dispensers Dust sills and other horizontal surfaces. Clean tile walls, shelves, stall partitions Sweep, mop and scrub Monitor defects, such as clogged urinals and lights out, and reports issues to supervisor
Damp mop and spray buff, wash, scrub floors Strip old finish, black marks, embedded dirt from floors prior to waxing or sealing Apply coats of prescribed finish as required
High dusting, leather and wood surface (non-floor) polishing, wall washing, venetian blind cleaning, as assigned by supervisor Assembles all necessary equipment Removes/replaces designated carpet tiles
