Insurance Learning and Performance Specialist

As the Learning and Performance Specialist, you'll leverage your expertise in the creation and delivery of adult learning experiences and resources to fully engage learners and enhance their professional performance. you'll play an integral role in creating a continuous learning culture and enhancing the professional growth opportunities for Sentry associates and leaders.

This position will support our Sales and Underwriting departments.

What you'll do:

  • Partner with SentryU peers, HR Business Consultants and, where applicable, assigned business partner(s) to understand learning and development needs

  • Apply knowledge of adult learning needs in developing and delivering measurable, experiential, and high-impact learning solutions. Drive learner centric classroom experiences, incorporating discovery, critical thinking, collaboration, problem solving, design thinking and active learning experiences in both leadership and professional skills development for new hires through senior executives.

  • Deliver a variety of learning solutions for a wide range of audiences by leveraging multiple modalities, while incorporating learner-centric design principles and learning measurement tools. Tailor activities and resources to a variety of disciplines including, but not limited to job-specific functions and organizational and functional competencies.

  • Collaborate with learning measurement analyst to ensure learning metrics are defined as part of the solution design/development process. Collaborate with LMS Analyst to ensure learning opportunities are tracked at various junctures and reportable.

  • Leverage a broad range of facilitation skills to encompass the variety of learning delivery methods.

What it takes:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 3-5 years of related work experience in commercial or personal lines insurance; training and facilitation experience a plus

  • Proven track record developing associates at all levels

  • Knowledge of adult learning theories, methodologies, and best practices preferred
