The Director of Marketing, Academic is responsible for developing and executing cross-divisional marketing strategies and campaigns across all academic disciplines; as well as supporting, coaching, and managing discipline marketing managers. Team management responsibilities include hiring and employee development, budget management, and representation of marketing priorities, initiatives, and strategies to Macmillan Leaders, as well as collaborate with sales and editorial peers. The Director of Marketing stays apprised of market trends and uses that knowledge to lead the direction and strategy of marketing campaigns. The DOM is responsible for representing marketing at cross functional meetings and communicates needs effectively. Working collaboratively with other groups in marketing is essential to align objectives and key milestones. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule available in the following Macmillan Learning offices: Austin, New York, Hamilton, and Boston. This position is also eligible for remote employment which will exclude the following locations: Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Mississippi, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wyoming. Essential Experience:

Salary Range: $130,000 - $140,000 Benefits Regular full-time and qualifying part-time employees and their dependents are eligible for Macmillan benefits, effective on the employee's date of hire. Macmillan also offers health benefits coverage to qualifying same-sex and opposite-sex domestic partners (may require additional documentation) of active employees.
