Summary:

The Analyst, Sales and Trade Planning will be a critical cross functional business partner on Hershey's Customer Planning and Trade Management system (PlanEx). The Analyst will collaborate with Sales to drive customer planning capabilities, optimize CSE planning/efficiency, and stage the system for planning. The position ensures PlanEx system and reports are accurate, maintained, and supports the critical needs of CSEs and other internal functions. The Analyst is also responsible for supporting adhoc requests in supporting the TPM Customer Relationship Management Platform (REP) and engage cross functionally to ensure successful implementation

Summary of major duties:



  • Collaborate with Sales/CSE to drive customer planning capabilities, provide sales and trade insights and optimize customer plans and planning efficiency. Provide everyday support to Sales and cross functional departments to ensure users are delivering high quality customer plans and operating efficiently in the system. Through analysis of Customer plans, derive insights to optimize Customer Planning results, drive sales and trade spend accuracy and improve the quality of plans. The TPM analyst will also asist with analyzing the reporting of data from the trade promotion system & leveraging analytics to drive CSE action via push reporting and CSE consultation.
  • Through interaction and support of user base, assist in ongoing system development and management. Working crossfunctionally, maintain necessary data structures (i.e. IRI/Customer mappings, lags, guardrails, VCMs, Customer hierarchies) and stage the system to support annual Customer Planning. Assists in development of new features and engage cross functionally to ensure successful implementation and prioritization of developmental activities. During upgrades, implementations and fixes, performs user acceptance testing, especially as it relates to reporting.
  • Work with Information Systems team, including monitoring batch job success/communicating issues, and doing support ticket analysis and triage. Work with user base to trouble shoot planning barriers, diagnose if user error or system defect and address accordingly to ensure effective planning resumes.
  • Trade analysis, special projects and ad-hoc reporting as requested by Sales and Sales Planning leadership.



Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

*Independent self-starter with the ability to take direction well and contribute insights and knowledge

-Knowledge and experience with basic financial concepts and reporting

*Ability to analyze and integrate multiple data sources into decision format, interprets data, identifies issues and opportunities

-Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, average knowledge of Excel

-Effective communicator with technical and non-technical individuals

-Preferred Skills: SAP/TPM Experience

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Finance or emphasis, Computer Science or equivalent

Experience:2-3 years sales, marketing, or finance experience supporting sales/marketing organization.
