Are you a Machine Learning Operational Engineer interested in an opportunity to work directly with Engineers and Data Scientists to develop an advanced computational customer acquisition decision system? This might be the role for you! As an MLOps Engineer, you will apply cloud-based machine learning technologies to embed AI/ML models and algorithms engineered by a cross-functional team of data scientists into a highly scalable, resilient, distributed decision system. In this role, you will work closely with Software Engineers, to implement and scale models and estimation artifacts to ensure they are accurately deployed in the operational environment. Responsibilities include implementing programming efficiencies, evaluating algorithms to improve product/system performance, and perform testing and debugging of the MLOps environment and models. The result will be a production decision system incorporating consistent, accurate computational intelligence. Job Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality, secure, scalable software solutions based on technical requirements and design artifacts within expected time and budget
  • Work in an agile development environment to build and maintain cloud software and infrastructure that supports machine learning models
  • Ensure efficient and reliable data pipelines to support the production machine learning system
  • Collaborate with leadership, Data Scientists, and Machine Learning Engineers to deploy an innovative decision system that relies on sophisticated computational algorithms
  • Understand requirements and develop the core platform to implement statistical research and models into a real product
  • Participate in the Agile process plan, estimate, design, document, and build high-quality operational software
  • Investigate and resolve production system issues within the MLOps environment and impact on the production system
  • Debug software products using detailed tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards
  • Develop, modify, and implement software test plans, automated scripts, and programs for testing
  • Share responsibilities for an always-on 24x7 system
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in software design and development
  • 5+ years of experience building and maintaining applications that use modern programming languages and technologies (Python, Scala, JavaScript, Rust)
  • 5+ years using cloud platform software (EC2, ECS, Lambda, ELB, Compute Optimizer, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL and databases (SQL Server, PostgresSQL, S3, etc.)
  • 2+ years of experience with source code and configuration management tools
  • Experience using cloud analytics software or MLSOps environments (EMR, SageMaker, Tensorflow)
  • Master's degree
Preferences
  • Prior experience working with data science teams to deliver scalable and reliable production software products (a plus)
  • PhD

For United States-based jobs only: The pay range for this position is $169000 to $274400 annually; however, base pay may vary within this range depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
