Position Summary: A successful candidate will be a self-driven, proactive, and detail-oriented contributor who will assist with Corporate Accounting activities and other related financial responsibilities as needed. He or she will play an important role, keeping Hunt's financial outlook bright with precision and proactive measures. Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations, including cash for multiple entities
- Prepare monthly and singular journal entries
- Responsible for intercompany accounting and reconciliation
- Accounting for in-house bank transactions
- Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies and issues of non-compliance
- Assist with month end close process
- Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures
- Performs other related duties and projects as assigned
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's in accounting or related field, or Master's Degree preferred
- 1 - 3 years' experience in accounting or a related field
- Strong financial analysis skills
- CPA certification or working towards certification preferred
- Big 4 Audit experience preferred
- SAP experience preferred
- Oil and Gas industry experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
