UC Davis Health System Information Technology (UCDH IT) accomplishes planning and implementation activities to provide computer systems to service the Health System's needs for teaching, clinical excellence, and research. This position resides in the Financial and Administrative Applications COE and reports to the Identity Management Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities
The Senior Identity and Access Management Analyst:
  • Contributes to the design, implementation, and support of identity, access, and authentication data systems and processes.
  • Ensures integrity and completeness of identity data, workflows, and information exchanges.
  • Provides identity and access management expertise to business and project teams to define requirements for various data-based systems.
  • Creates and maintains technical and process documentation.
  • Actively participates with business and campus units throughout the university community.
  • Plays an important role in the effort to secure the identity of UCDH and campus affiliates from threats to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of such identities.
They are a technical leader with substantial experience with the implementation and support of complex data system and web application projects.

This role frequently requires analysis of unique issues/problems without precedent and/or structure.
Applies advanced information architecture concepts and campus/medical center/OP or community-specific objectives to resolve highly complex issues with significant impact on the organization. Regularly works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Effectively selects criteria for evaluating results.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years progressive and current work experience as a data administrator, developer, and/or data systems analyst in an enterprise environment.
  • 3+ years of experience with building systems to automate data integrity, hygiene, and deduplication.
  • 7 + years of operational experience with large scale relational databases and SQL.
  • Demonstrated experience leading information system projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills for communicating complex technical issues and concepts to technical and non-technical staff.
  • Expertise developing troubleshooting processes, methodologies, and standards.
  • Skills in statistical and data analysis to sample and test existing databases, determine error rates, establish minimum quality standards, and effectively present information.
  • Skills to recognize the need for and maintain security of confidential information; exercise judgment and discretion in handling sensitive or confidential information or situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of software design and development experience in a web applications environment using a 3GL or 4GL language (C#, Java, VB.NET, Python, Perl), Web Services (JSON, XML, SOAP), and database APIs (ODBC, JDBC, ADO).
  • Experience with and understanding of LDAP technologies.
  • Implementation of Access Management applications and solutions.
  • Implementation of Identity Governance & Administration solutions.
  • Strong understanding of information security fundamentals in the identity and access management domain.
