Merchant Services Specialist (Remote - WA, OR, ID, CA)

Merchant Services Specialist Opportunity Overview

Responsible for the day-to-day support of the Bank's Merchant Services business. The incumbent serves as a subject matter expert in Merchant Services. Provides support to branch personnel in their efforts to set up and maintain Merchant Services relationships with the Bank's business clients.

As a Merchant Services Specialist with Banner Bank you will have the opportunity to:

• Provides branch support through explaining program details, providing technical assistance and answering merchant services related questions.
• Perform maintenance on merchant services accounts. (examples: update contact information, close accounts, update and replace equipment).
• Facilitate delivery of processor training tools such as webinar scheduling, newsletters, and online merchant self service training to stakeholders.
• Perform necessary maintenance on merchant services accounts.
• Prepare pricing comparisons for potential Merchants and existing Merchants with pricing concerns. Prepare necessary financial entries to allocate income and expense to branches.
• Maintain and monitor online merchant self service channel. Direct merchants to website through advertising e-guides and webinars.
• Monitor branch stock of acquisition and marketing deliverables for campaigns, direct mail offers and statement stuffers. Track and report status of marketing campaigns, including targeted direct mail, merchant prospect lists, and statement stuffers.
• Responsible for complying with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required

• 3+ years in of experience in banking required. Experience in merchant services preferred.

• Demonstrate ability to deliver professional, responsive customer service.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and produce accurate work.
• Proficient in MS Office products, including Word and Excel.

• Targeted starting annual salary range (based on location and experience): $33,000 - $40,000
