Job Summary:

Under direct supervision, this job may support one or more of the Information Technology functions i.e., Software Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, Data engineering or QA engineering or others. This position is responsible for learning, shadowing and/or performing entry level tasks in one of the above areas.

This position is slated to work with our Data Engineering / BI team and is part of a defined limited employee development program. As the program progresses, a possibility exists for employee transfer/promotion to a designated area of the organization. These opportunities would be based on business need and would also depend upon employee performance, as well as demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Job Duties / Essential Functions:

Models ethical behavior and executes job responsibilities in accordance with Citizens' core values, ethics, and information protection policies.



  • Supporting the IT Team in maintaining software, and other enterprise-wide systems, working closely with more senior level staff.
  • May assist with troubleshooting issues and providing technical support. Provide regular updates, identify any blockers to assigned tasks
  • May provide support in one of the areas of security, software engineering, DevOps, quality assurance, automation, infrastructure, and database functions.
  • Organize and maintain any IT resources and technical documentation as applicable.
  • Adhere to and maintain compliance with standards and policies that are in place.


Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:



  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Pursuit of or recent graduate: BS Degree Information Technology, Computer Science, or other technology related fields
  • 0 - 1 year of experience, working in corporate or office setting in the Information Technology Division


MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • (REQUIRED) - Object oriented programing concepts, Core Java knowledge and some exposure.
  • Familiarity with any one specified, or combination of, the following: Software (Coding), IT Security, Data engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps
  • Awareness of relevant systems and tools
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Thirst for knowledge, curiosity, and ability to learn new technical or soft skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Initiative-driven, service oriented, and attention to detail
  • Collaborator with good people skills
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and people skills


Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: :



  • Groovy scripting, HTML experience.
  • Some coding experience highly perferred
