Job Description



  • General Financial Control

    • Direct the organization's accounting functions and areas of focus, including Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting, and Financial Reporting
    • Oversee general ledger functions, assure accuracy, timeliness, and conformity with professional standards and best practices in accordance with US GAAP
    • Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting activities within US GAAP, and maintain supporting schedules
    • Develop and maintain planning and budgeting systems, prepare financial and management reports and procedures, and present findings and specific recommendations to senior management
    • Analyze and interpret trends requiring management's attention


  • Finance

    • Conduct financial and accounting operations of the organization.
    • Prepare, collect, and interpret financial information
    • Prepare budgets, reports, forecasts, and statutory returns
    • Conduct financial analyses of proposals, investments, and fund sources
    • Manage the organization's taxation affairs
    • Manage cost accounting systems and cash flow
    • Control treasury and ensure compliance with regulatory standards




  • In addition to the day-to-day Accounting and Finance activities, will work with Management on the overarching financial direction of the business
  • Reports to the GM of Encon with a functional dotted line to Vallen NA Finance
  • Will manage a team of 3 (AP/AR/Accounting Associate)
  • Duties may also include training other accounting staff

Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required, finance, or related field
  • 5 years of Management experience required
  • 7-8 years Controller experience required
  • Manufacturing experience required
  • Must have experience with cost centers and cost accounting
