Night Chaperone - Kanab, UT

A Night Chaperone works at various hotels in the Kanab, UT area and is responsible for monitoring student rooms on a specific floor between the hours of 9:45pm and 5am. A Night Chaperone enforces outlined curfews and controls noise to allow the adults traveling with the group to rest, while keeping student safety a priority. They are also responsible for the physical safety of students and for reacting to emergency situations that may arise on site.

Essential Functions:



  • Treat our customers, vendors, and fellow employees with honesty, respect, and professionalism.
  • Provide the highest level of safety for all participants while they are on tour.
  • Remain actively monitoring the assigned hotel floors from 9:45pm to 5am.
  • Present a professional image - remain courteous, positive and helpful.
  • Follow proper procedure while working on assigned floor to include: checking in/out of the hotel with designated personnel, introduction to Program Leaders and groups and escalation protocol.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with students at all times.

Field

  • Must have availability from March-June during peak season.
  • Team player that works well with students, teachers, vendors and WorldStrides staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have the use of sensory skills as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk and hear - to be able to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and clients.
  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including walking up and down numerous flights of stairs in case of a hotel emergency, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Successful completion of applicable background screening.
