Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:
* Assists with leading the transportation team with the responsibility to train, develop, coach, counsel while building a positive culture of C.A.R.E, and implementing solutions to challenges.
* Plans, organizes and leads the work/schedules of teams to ensure the work is accomplished and product delivered in a manner consistent with organizational and customer requirements
* Supervises transportation and Facilities in accordance with established policies and procedures; monitors and evaluates performance and cultivates delegation culture of work tasks.
* Runs all Preventive Management and repair programs (e.g., vehicle maintenance or facility Maintenance work log) that ensures compliance of DOT, DOH, Local and State regulatory agencies.
* Trains drivers and distribution personnel and teach safe driving practices
* Supervises all transportation needs for the company as determined by General and/or Operations Manager
* Directs and maintains company owned or leased fleet including ongoing maintenance and fleet rotation plan
* Vendor management including vendor relations, coordination with outside vendors, performance and quality level monitoring, and researching new vendors
* Management duties including the hiring process of the team, professional development within the team, communication with staff members, performance reviews, and personal responsibility for the Facility team
* Safety and Security including emergency response plans, compliance with all local regulatory requirements, function as the after-hours contact for property management, and training of office emergency procedures
* Designs, implements and schedules DOT mandated Hazmat training sessions and Safety training sessions
* On an as needed basis, responds to and demonstrates leadership in emergencies and special events

Preferred Qualifications:
* A college degree or equivalent business experience as well as demonstrated outstanding years of validated experience logical management. Additionally preferred experience in off-premises catering kitchen management, similar role running a fleet of delivery trucks.
* Experience leading others - Strong Communicator and demonstrated by ability to interact successfully with a variety of people including effectively in written format and oral presentations
* The ability to multi-task and establish priorities & organization in a changing environment
* Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership
* Commercial driver’s license a plus
* ServSafe certification preferred
