Summary For a limited time, Franklin Community Health Network is offering up to $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible full time Surgical Technologists and $3,000 for all eligible part time Surgical Technologists! Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CST position. Per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment. Position Summary Provides assistance to the surgeon and Operating Room (OR) RN during the intraoperative phase of perioperative care. Functions under the supervision of the Operating Room RN and surgeon during the intraoperative phase of care. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education: Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology. License/Certifications: Current BCLS and certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting required. Experience: N/A Adheres to applicable CST policies and standards, and remains within the scope of certified surgical technologist practice guidelines Demonstrates knowledge of the step-by-step process of specific surgical procedures and displays dexterity in the use of the required instrumentation Demonstrates an understanding of the principles of asepsis and infection prevention Demonstrates an understanding of the anatomy and operative techniques pertinent to the case being performed Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with members of the healthcare team Skill in time management, problem solving, multitasking, prioritizing and medical care coordination Ability to maintain professional manner even under stressful situations Additional Information With a career at any of the MaineHealth locations across Maine and New Hampshire, you'll be working with health care professionals that truly value the people around them - both within the walls of the organization and the communities that surround it.
