Aviation Lab Assistant

An Aviation lab assistant is responsible for assisting the Instructors.

Assist the Aviation Team in the shop environment only
• Provide technical knowledge to students in completing shop projects
• Aid the student in accomplishing hands on type projects to gain required motor skills
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Training

Education

• High School Diploma/GED
• A & P liscense required

Experience

• Prior experience in related field preferred

• Ability to assist students of various ages and diverse backgrounds
• Able to work productively and communicate effectively with students and new employees
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to deal responsibly with confidential information
• Must be personable, energetic and have a customer service orientation
• Must be a self-motivator
• Must be able to work alone or with a team

Performance Standards

• Proper monitoring of all equipment, supplies and tools to ensure the safety of the students
• Two reviews will be done per course
• Bi-Annual review will be done by Director of Education

Working Conditions

• Majority of time spent in education environment
• Work will consist of an 8-hour day
• Appropriate safety measures must be followed
• Exposure to chemicals that are standard to industry
