Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served. May assume Charge responsibility for assigned personnel and activities as required or directed. This department is a 33-bed unit specializing in the care of Oncology, Palliative Care and End of Life patients. The unit hosts 11 semi-private and 11 private rooms. Chemotherapy competency is maintained by the RNs on Crapo through the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS). This is achieved by certification in chemotherapy-biotherapy administration. We also provide Telemetry monitoring for up to 10 patients. We take great pride in providing excellent patient care in conjunction with all members of our Multidisciplinary Team.
