Laboratory Technician- Analytical

Avantor, a Global Fortune 500 company is looking for a dedicated Laboratory Technician to optimize our Biopharma / R&D organization. This Bridgewater, NJ on- site role is full-time.

What we are looking for:

Minimum Education: High School Diploma

Job Description

Required Experience (1+ year):

• Microsoft Office, (PowerPoint, Word and Excel, Minitab)
• Computer skills
• Complying with all safety, environmental and quality policies/ procedures.
• Analytical techniques used in test method validation (HPLC/UPLC, GC-FID, GC-MS; Wet chemistry analytical techniques)

Preferred Experience:

• Participating in project check-in meetings and adjusting plan/activities based on feedback to meet project deadlines.
• Preparing reports, publications and oral presentations to advance projects or resolve process/product issues and customer complaints.
• Hands-on knowledge of Empower, MassLynx, ChemStation, OpenLab and Mass Hunter Software
• Developing, validating and transferring analytical methods to internal and external QC laboratories for cGMP/Compendia finished goods release testing and stability studies/shelf-life determination.
• Maintaining knowledge of cGMP, Compendia, FDA, ICH and other regulatory agency requirements

• Maintaining instruments
• Ordering and maintaining stock levels of chemicals required for testing.
• Performing operations such as buffer prep, filtration and chromatography using chemicals (both hazardous and non-hazardous)
• Following written procedure for sample analysis
• Operating instruments safely and efficiently under supervision of Scientists
• Complying with company standards and OSHA requirements
• Maintaining equipment in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
• Cleaning labware and the lab
• Ensuring all documentation and test results are entered into e- notebook.
• Keeping accurate records and reports in e-notebook
• Ensuring proper stock levels of consumables
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)

The work environment is a laboratory/office setting, and the appropriate PPE will be required in designated areas. The Senior scientist -Analytical, may occasionally travel to other Avantor locations or customer sites. This is a full-time position.
