Associate Scientist- Analytical

Avantor, a Global Fortune 500 company is looking for a dedicated Associate Scientist to optimize our Biopharma / R&D organization. This Bridgewater, NJ on- site role is full-time.

What we are looking for:

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree (science focused)

Required Experience (1+ yr.):

• Hands-on experience and knowledge with analytical techniques used in test method validation such as: HPLC/UPLC, GC-FID, GC-MS; Wet chemistry analytical techniques
• Developing, validating and transferring analytical methods to internal and external QC laboratories for cGMP/Compendia finished goods release testing and stability studies/shelf-life determination.
• Microsoft Office(PowerPoint, Word and Excel, Minitab)
• Computer skills
• Learning software systems

Preferred Experience:

• Participating in regular project check-in meetings and adjusting plan/activities based on feedback to meet project deadlines.
• Complying with all safety, environmental and quality policies, and procedures.
• Preparing reports, publications and oral presentations to advance projects or resolve process/product issues and customer complaints.
• Maintaining knowledge of cGMP, Compendia, FDA, ICH and other regulatory agency requirements
• Empower, MassLynx, ChemStation, OpenLab and Mass Hunter

The Associate Scientist- Analytical will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team of scientists focused on the development of new products. This employee will work in cross-functional teams to address analytical challenges by using various analytical methodologies to define product quality, evaluate impurities profile and establish product specifications. The Scientist will interface with project teams to drive projects to completion and resolve customer complaints related to product/process performance issues.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT

The work environment is a laboratory/office setting, and the appropriate PPE will be required in designated areas. The Senior scientist -Analytical, may occasionally travel to other Avantor locations or customer sites. This is a full-time position.
