Position Overview:

The Human Resources Content Creator Intern will be the key content creator of the New Hire Day 1 Experience. The project scope will cover all required onboarding/new hire paperwork tasks interspersed into an innovative and exciting introduction to the company. Creativity is the key to success with this program, as we introduce Astound to our employees across the West Region, both virtually and in-person. We are counting on YOU to think big and bring new, original, and maybe even unorthodox, ideas to the table!

Where you will work:



  • This can be a remote position based in any of our Astound markets nationwide or be a hybrid role based in Astound's California office in Roseville/Sacramento or Concord.


A Day in the Life of the Human Resources Intern:



  • Research, create, test and implement an engaging new hire onboarding program to delight every new hire
  • Create engaging and visually appealing digital onboarding content, including but not limited to podcasts, video vignettes and other rich media designed to tell the story and culture of Astound to capture the hearts of every Astounding new hire
  • Assist in planning and organizing activities to support employee engagement and foster an inclusive culture within an employee's first 90 days
  • Create innovative methods to provide employees with information on company benefits, processes and responsibilities
  • Implement a feedback process for continuous improvement/enhancement opportunities
  • Incorporate Astound's mission in every stage of the project buildout, to ensure each new hire feels welcomed, valued and heard
  • Ensure that all content aligns with Astound's brand guidelines and maintains a consistent and compelling voice
  • Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned


What You Bring to the Table:



  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and Google Suite, adobe products and other existing media/graphic design platforms
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in time-sensitive situations; aptitude to coordinate multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Ability to bring a creative and innovative thought and approach to everyday projects
  • Dynamic and motivated to seek new ways to create compelling content that highlights the story and culture of Astound
  • Driven to identify innovative ways to convert what would otherwise be a dull presentation to an exciting engaging experience for every individual
  • Possess a passion for digital content creation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, drive projects forward, and ask questions


Education:



  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business Management, Marketing, or related field.


Compensation:

The base compensation for this position is $20.00 per hour. The base pay represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job.
