PRIMARY PURPOSE Drives and maintains the Mobile Medical Unit, ensuring the safety of vehicle and assisting medical personnel during scheduled clinic sessions. MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS Education -None. Experience - Must have three years of related driving experience and/or customer service experience, preferably in a medical/healthcare/health insurance setting. - Patient registration experience preferred. - Completion of course work towards an accredited medical terminology or medical assistant certification preferred. - Medical Office Assistant experience or training a plus. Certification/Registration/Licensure - Must have a Texas Commercial Class A or B Driver License. - Must be able to pass the CPR training course within three months of employment from one of the following:
Skills or Special Abilities - Must be able to maintain a driving record that meets the criteria established by Parkland personnel policy. - Must have good knowledge of vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance. - Must be able to work flexible hours and be available for on-call duty. Responsibilities 1. Responsible for performing a daily pre-trip inspection, as well as ensuring that the vehicle is clean internally and externally, has appropriate fuel and fluids, and that the vehicle is secure on a daily basis. 2. Drives the Mobile Medical Unit to assigned clinic sites, maintaining safe yet efficient operations as scheduled, ensuring that the vehicle remains in good operating condition and that any damages or problems are reported to appropriate personnel. 3. Assists medical staff using laboratory equipment, maintaining the safety of equipment, medical staff, and clinic patients. 4. Maintains assigned reports, ensuring accuracy of information. 5. Ensures the appropriate utilization of assigned supplies and equipment. 6. Proficiently performs patient service activities in coordination with clinical team, including but not limited to:
