Senior System Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as technical lead evaluating and developing multiple special projects for C2BMC
  • Support and advise the C2BMC-G Architect, Technical Advisor, and GAMMA lead on development of a global node for C2BMC
  • Ability to create strategy and vision, and lead teams to meet objectives directing and performing system engineering and assessments for integration of complex systems
  • Prepare technical and strategic program briefings for senior leadership review
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders on all phases of the system engineering process: requirements definition and management, design, integration, test, and operations
  • Develop inputs to and evaluate contractor program baseline planning and execution
  • Perform technical oversight of classified project development, risk assessments, and contractor performance against requirements
  • Independently evaluate contractor analyses
  • Develop Statement of Objectives, Statement of Work and Contract Deliverables descriptions for Government review and approval
  • Review, comment, and prepare technical responses for the Government on contractor proposals
  • Writing System Engineering Management Plans (SEMPs)
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 20 years experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with a wide range of internal and external customers
  • Work well independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills, quick learner, and demonstrated problem solver
  • Able to apply knowledge to complex, practical situations
  • BS degree or equivalent in engineering or computer science
  • Experience with DoD special access programs
  • Experience and history with the Missile Defense Agency
  • Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain a US government security clearance
  • Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Active SSBI, SCI, SI/TK
  • Some travel is required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with mission functional framework and operations concept development
  • Experience with systems requirements development
  • Experience designing test campaigns for systems verification
  • Experience and history with the Missile Defense Agency's Command Control Battle Management and Communication - Global (C2MBC-G) program
