The Sr. Director, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) reports to the VP, HRBPs, and plays a critical role in aligning human resources strategies with organizational goals on a global scale. This role requires a deep understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and cultural nuances. The Sr. Director, HRBP collaborates closely with business leaders and HR teams across various business units / functions to drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows:

Strategic HR Alignment:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand business objectives and develop HR strategies that support organizational goals.
  • Provide strategic guidance on workforce planning, talent acquisition, talent development, and retention efforts.
  • Conduct regular assessments of HR policies and practices to ensure alignment with global standards and local regulations.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and mediator to resolve employee relations issues and conflicts.
  • Implement effective communication strategies to foster a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.

Talent Management:

  • Partner with HR teams and business leaders to identify high-potential talent and develop succession plans for key roles.
  • Facilitate talent development programs, including leadership development, coaching, and training initiatives.
  • Implement performance management processes and provide guidance on performance improvement plans.

Change Management:

  • Lead change management initiatives related to organizational restructuring, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic changes.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees during periods of organizational change.
  • Develop communication plans to ensure transparency and alignment throughout the change process.

HR Analytics and Reporting:

  • Utilize HR metrics and data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Generate regular reports on key HR metrics, such as turnover rates, engagement levels, and diversity metrics.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement in HR practices.

HR Operations:

  • Partner with HR People Operations to streamline processes, optimize HR systems, and enhance the employee experience.

What You'll Need for Success:

You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in HR roles, with a focus on strategic HR business partnering, 12+ years preferred.
  • 3+ years of International HRBP experience specifically Austria & UK a plus.
  • Experience supporting C Suite level executives and their respective teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience leading change management initiatives and driving organizational transformation.
  • Proficiency in HR analytics and data-driven decision-making.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CIPD) preferred.
  • Ability to travel as needed - up to 10%.
