Nurse Practitioner OHNS ADT OHNS Bayfront Full Time 77943BR Job Summary The Nurse Practitioner has the primary responsibility for the diagnosis and management of chronic and acute otolaryngology conditions for pediatric or adult patients with complex medical and surgical needs in the outpatient ambulatory clinical setting as well in the hospital setting. The NP will be responsible for carrying out independent assessment and diagnosis, following established protocols, performing otolaryngology related procedures under the standardized procedure protocols, conducting patient education, performing post-op care and related duties as required for patients. To learn more about the benefits of working at UCSF, including total compensation, please visit: Department Description The Otolaryngology ambulatory clinics are high volume and focus on a variety of specialty otolaryngologic diagnoses. This position is a clinical role therefor no call, weekends, nights or holiday coverage is required. The Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery offers a broad scope of outpatient and inpatient services for the management of ear, nose, and throat diagnosis. Specialty programs within the department include otology/neurotology, the Balance and Falls Center, the Cochlear Implantation program, head and neck surgery, rhinology and endoscopic sinus surgery, endocrine (thyroid/parathyroid) surgery, minimally invasive skull base surgery, facial plastic surgery, laryngology, pediatric otolaryngology, general otolaryngology, sleep apnea surgery, voice and swallowing disorders, sialendoscopy and audiology.
