Job Description

As theSenior Director of MarTech, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our marketing technology (MarTech) strategy. You'll be responsible for overseeing the entire MarTech ecosystem, ensuring alignment with business goals, and driving successful outcomes. Your leadership will guide our organization toward innovative solutions, efficient processes, and optimal utilization of MarTech tools.

Responsibilities

MarTech Strategy and Roadmap Development:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine the MarTech strategy.

  • Create a dynamic roadmap that aligns with industry best practices and addresses Visa's specific needs.

  • Continuously evaluate and adjust the strategy based on market trends, business requirements, and technological advancements.

Governance and Stack Management:

  • Establish governance policies for MarTech adoption, usage, and data privacy.

  • Oversee the MarTech stack, ensuring seamless integration, scalability, and security.

  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of existing tools and explore new solutions.

Vendor and Supplier Management:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with MarTech vendors and suppliers.

  • Negotiate contracts, manage vendor performance, and optimize costs.

  • Stay informed about industry innovations and emerging vendors.

Performance Measurement and Optimization:

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for MarTech initiatives.

  • Monitor performance, track ROI, and identify areas for improvement.

  • Implement data-driven optimizations to enhance marketing efficiency.

Change Management and Adoption:

  • Champion the adoption of new MarTech tools and processes across teams.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions and effective training.

  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Work closely with marketing, IT, data analytics, and other relevant teams.

  • Lead a high-performing MarTech team, providing mentorship and guidance.

  • Influence senior leadership by presenting strategic recommendations.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Minimum of 10 years in MarTech, digital marketing, or related roles.
  • Hands on digital marketing experience especially web and mobile applications, analytics, SEO/SEM
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex MarTech ecosystems for large enterprises.
  • Proven track record of Return of Investment of MarTech investments
  • Proven track record of enabling marketing and sales onboarding on these tools and technologies.
  • Proven track record of designing, leading and executing pilot projects in MarTech that lead to large scale adoption of MarTech
  • Deep hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms, customer data platforms (CDPs), and analytics tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
  • * Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Technical expertise in software programming or understanding or programming, data systems and integrations
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud, Google Marketing Cloud, Microsoft stack especially MS Dynamics and other MarTech technologies.A thought leader with a strong PoV on MarTech landscape and existing relationships with top experts and vendors in this space
  • Expertise in business technologies that enable teams beyond marketing like sales and customer service

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 192,300.00 to 278,850.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
