The Team Lead is charged with leading their team to deliver exceptional member experiences. This leader will advocate, nurture, and guide their team to promote and deliver on our Member Engagement Manifesto. They will lead with head and heart to not only cultivate a culture where member experience is the core, but also the team member experience.

This position has a starting hourly rate of $28.61, but your offer amount may be increased with relevant work experience and transferrable skills.

A Day in the life of a Team Lead can look like:

  • Create a culture of "Huzzah!" that promotes clear celebration points of goals and objectives, department strategies and individual team member responsibilities.
  • Nurture and advocate for team members, ensuring optimal performance through coaching and development.
  • Ensure consistent and engaging member experience is delivered and aligned with our purpose, values, and manifesto.
  • Prepare branch formal performance evaluations (e.g. annual reviews, CLPs, follow-up reviews), and ensure they are enacted with direct reports.
  • Lead direct reports and provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching as required. Identify opportunities to amplify performance and develop appropriate plans to improve performance by identifying appropriate training and resources.

What you bring to the table:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of progressive experience in a retail or service environment and/or related experience.
  • Experience and a passion for leadership, performance management, and team member development.
  • User of eservices products.
  • Proven ability leading people through change and driving innovation by building a circle of safety.
  • Strong planning, organizational and time management skills.
  • Responsive and empathetic to requests and needs of others.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to build trust with others and remain open to ideas.
  • Ability to effectively problem solve and resolve conflict.
  • Ability to embrace ambiguity and manage change.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information.
  • Ability to successfully complete the MLO background check process to obtain NMLS.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.

  • 4 years of progressive experience in a retail or service environment and/or related experience.
