Senior UX Engineer - Remote

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Working across multiple platforms with ease.
  • Taking ownership of large features and experiences and communicating design vision effectively
  • Partnering with research and strategy teams to translate user needs into usable design improvements
  • Advocating for the user and anticipating their needs through insights and feedback
  • Being a trusted design partner in a cross-functional team and delivering designs on time and to the highest quality
  • Maintaining brand consistency and adherence to design guidelines across various digital platforms
  • Advocating and explaining user-centered research and design principles to clients and colleagues
  • Providing direction on client projects and mentoring colleagues on UX
  • Identifying gaps in knowledge documents and procedures and recommending opportunities for improvement

Required Qualifications:



  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in design (information architecture, interaction design, UX design, or graphic design)
  • 3+ years of experience incorporating user feedback in the design process
  • 2+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams and presenting to stakeholders
  • Experience with industry design tools (Figma, Miro, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Axure)
  • Knowledge of Agile product development and experience using an enterprise design system
  • Familiarity with metrics and analytics tools to identify improvements and optimize based on data
  • Ability to design for users of all demographics and abilities

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
