Who we are

The KSU Foundation is K-State’s strategic partner for philanthropy.

What we do

The KSU Foundation inspires and guides philanthropy toward university priorities to boldly advance K-State.

"At the KSU Foundation, we pursue exceptional outcomes for our donors, our university and our community. We are proud to be a progressive organization, striving to secure K-State's future."- Greg Willems, president and CEO, KSU Foundation

Our values

  • We cultivate a culture of excellence that celebrates and rewards initiative, resilience, courage and results.
  • We work alongside passionate, caring, talented people who trust and challenge us in our intentional pursuit to be the best.
  • We offer resources for professional growth so that team members can find their purpose, a path to grow, ways to add value and thrive.
  • We find solutions as a family while aiming for individual excellence, collective success and meaningful outcomes.

Boldly advancing K-State

Foundation staff members work in close partnership with university administrators, deans and faculty to secure charitable contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations to support identified priorities for the university. Gifts received through the foundation fund undergraduate and graduate student scholarships, establish faculty chairs and professorships, provide college and departmental support, and enhance the campus infrastructure. After the money is raised, it must be prudently managed. This function is managed by foundation staff members who work under the guidance of an advisory committee of trustees.

Great Place to Work certified

KSU Foundation is the only certified institutionally related foundation in the country and one of only seven Great Place to Work certified organizations in Kansas. In the nonprofit space, KSU Foundation joins the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Kessler Foundation in this distinction.

Dedication to Inclusion & Diversity

The Foundation is committed to providing opportunities for all employees to succeed by creating an environment that is inclusive. We exceed the expectations of those we serve and improve the success of the organization by drawing strength from the diversity of our team. We seek to view each member of our staff not based solely upon cultural fit, but rather the unique characteristics and experiences each person adds to our workplace culture.
